Member Legislative Assembly Haveli, Shah Mohammad Tantray today launched blacktopping work on 5km Saien Meira sahib shrine road and bus- stand of here at Guntrian.The upgrading/macadamization work estimated to cost Rs 1.60 crore has been taken up under tourist destination plan by Public Works Department (PWD).Addressing locals after the launch of work, the MLA said that improvement of road infrastructure in general & connecting religious tourist places/ destinations in particular was first priority of the present government. He assured to take benefits of development to every corner of Poonch Haveli, for which road infrastructure is a prerequisite. Tantray said that better road network would also increase tourist footfall to the Holy places & promote development in different sectors of rural economy.The MLA further said that there will be no compromise on the quality and asked the PWD authorities to strictly monitor work to ensure the macadamization as per specifications.Executive engineer, Assistant executive engineer & Junior Engineer of R&B, and a large number of locals were also present on the occasion.
