Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today inaugurated newly constructed building of New type Primary Health Centre (PHC) here at Pochhal.Minister of state for Transport, Revenue, PWD (R&B), RDD, Panchayati Raj and agricultural production Sunil Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana, CMO besides other district and sectoral officers were also present.Dedicating the PHC to the people of the area, the Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to expand accesses of modern health care facilities at people’s doorstep across the state. He said steps are being taken to strengthen the existing health infrastructure with special focus on rural and far-flung areas.The Minister further assured to rationalise the staff available in the department to overcome the shortage of doctors and para-medicos, particularly in rural areas.He said all vacant posts of doctors and para-medics have been referred to the PSC/JKSSB and the concerned agencies have been urged to expedite the process of selection so that the health services do not suffer further.Interacting with the medical staff present on the occasion, the Minister exhorted upon them to work with zeal and dedication to provide the best possible services to the public.
