Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri Paid tribute to freedom fighters on the Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh & Mahatma Gandhi in the campus. Commemorating their supreme sacrifice, CGC Jhanjeri motivated the students to learn from the life of Freedom Fighters. On this occasion, a number of competitive events like Declamation Contest on Role of Revolutionaries in the Indian Freedom Movement, Group Discussion on India Got the Freedom through Non Violence, Sketch Competition, Slogan Competition and Patriotic Song Competition were organized.The winners of Group Discussion were Nishant Suraj & Kanav where as Suraj was winner of Slogan Competition .In singing competition Akbar was declared winner & Declamation Competition was won by Vaishali Sharma and Yashtika .Speaking on the occasion, Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General, CGC gave a brief history of how these revolutionaries sacrificed their life so that we could live in an honorable manner. He said that our true homage to these martyrs is that we do our duties honestly. The Programme concluded with Prize Distribution Ceremony to the winners. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC congratulated all the participants & honored the winners with medals & certificates.
