A Residentail house and a Cow shed gutted into fire in a fierce sudden fire at Aawoora muqam area of district Kupwara. Bashir Ahmad A SPO By profession who is in service from past 23 years and has 6 small childrens who are yet childrens and the elder one is girl who has recently passed out in 6th standard. Bashir Ahmad (Owner) Told that me and my was inside and we were in a our daily normal routine,A sudden fire came up from back side of our house which cought Cow shed and oir Residentail house. mean time neighbours came out of their house to rescue us and we hardly managed to escape that fire and save our little children's and we couldn't save our footwear as well,Form last night we have been wandering here and there in search of food and shelter.The time when fire cought our house and cow shed we informed Fire and emergency Services but didn't pay heed to our loos and came at the time as when the whole house turend into ashes.But that time we also informed SSP Kupwara regarding the same and he made some arrangements within timely period and sent a Fire Tenders to get control over the fire and saved the adjoining houses even when a house nearby had already cought fire,But some how Fire tenders managed to get control over the Fire added Bashir Ahmad Residential House and cow shed Owner. Locals also showed a deep anger over the highhandedness of the concerned department.
One of the locals Manzoor Ahmad Told that , Such incidents have happened here before and the department has always been late to the spot,We want Higher authorities to have a keen look into it and sort out our problem,We don't want any brother to loose anything more in future.Family who went homeless have demanded the compensation from the government and the concerned department.Revenue department visited us and made many promises but yet nothing is what we have witnessed so far we are homless and i dont have a roof to live under and save my family i want government to help me in my worse time and save me and my family as im only a SPO and i can't afford as much it needs at the times I'm facing now added Bashir Ahmad House Owner.
