On the directions of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Minister for Rural Development, Abdul Haq on Saturday visited Arampora Sopore to take inspect the construction work going on Ziayarat Sharief Lalbab Sahib at Arampora Sopore that was gutted in fire incident last year.The Minister inspected the under construction structure of the shrine and interacted with the workers and the contractors. Minister was informed that the main structure has been completed while work is in progress on the interiors of the shrine.Abdul Haq said the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was deeply hurt over the damage of the shrine in a fire incident and had earlier also instructed him to visit the shrine and ensure proper construction of the shrine. He said Chief Minister is personally monitoring the pace of work on the shrine and has instructed to accelerate the pace of work so that the work is completed well in time.
The Minister said he had earlier visited the shrine also when the shrine was damaged and today most of the structure has been completed. He expressed satisfaction over the pace of work and said he has directed the Tourism department to complete the work at earliest and hoped that reconstruction of the shrine will be completed soon. He said government will bear all the expenses that will be required in reconstruction of the gutted Shrine.The Minister also interacted with the people on the occasion who had assembled in the shrine to meet the minister. Minister gave patient hearing to the people who informed the minister about various grievances with regard to basic amenities. Minister assured that he will take up different issues with the respective ministers and will ensure early redressal of the grievances.
