Sultan and Dnagal fame bollywood playback singers Jyoti and Sultana also known as Noora Sisters performed live in the quarter final of All India Devotional Song Competition here.The Noora sisters have given their voices to the beautiful and melodious songs of Dangal, Sultan, Jab Harry met Sejal, Highway, Philoori, Tiger Zinda Hai etc.The programme began with lightening of the traditional lamp by the duo singers in presence of SSP Reasi Tahir Bhatt, SSP Shiv Kumar Sharma, Addl. SPs Naresh Singh, S K Nazar, Chief Education Officer Bishan Singh, Prithpal Singh, Subash Bhardwaj, Kulbir Honda, Vivek Tuli, Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand ji Maharaj, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Virender Kesar, Ajay Kotwal etc.In the quarter final, out of 15 contestants, 6 qualified for the Semi Final including Sukhjinder Yamla from Amritsar, Kabul Bhukhari from Mumbai, Swaran Lata from Jalandhar, Varsha Jamwal from Jammu, Mohinder Soni from Jammu and Sargam Sharma from Jammu. Three contestants were kept in the waiting list including duo singers Rashpal Singh and Karpal Singh from Punjab, Sushmita from Jammu, and Arushi Kalas from Udhampur. The 6 winners will compete with the 1st position holders of daily preliminary round competitions in the Semi Final.The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts including Noora Sisters, Prof. Anupama Sharma, Lecturer Music Govt. Degree College Parade, and V.K Sambyal , former Director All India Radio.The proceedings were conducted by Rakesh Wazir - the Chairman of the competition.
