Bali Bhagat kick-starts blacktopping of link roads in Raipur

Minister for Health & Medical Education Bali Bhagat today kick started blacktopping of 10 km road length in Raipur, Domana   constituency. The work was launched on Dumimalpur road connecting Gharota and Marjali to Amb road to be completed at a cost of Rs. 2.58 crore. The upgrading of these Link roads would benefit a large  chunk of population  of  Dumimalpur, Marjali, Gharota, Amb and adjoining villages.The Minister also inaugurated newly constructed platform at village Ghaink constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.5 lakh by  Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department. The funds for the work were provided by the Minister out of his Constituency Development Fund. On the occasion, the Minister also announced to provide Rs 20 lakh for upgrading Local Park and 50 street lights in Ghaink area.Senior officers of concerned departments besides a large number of local people were present on the occasion.The Minister said that development of rural and far-off areas is the top priority of the government adding that up-grading road infrastructure is receiving main focus. He said that all important roads will be up-graded/blacktopped across the State for which the government has formulated an ambitious plan.

Highlighting the importance of Jammu-Akhnoor road, he said the Government has already approved this   4-laning of this stretch of highway.While highlighting various development projects being executed in his constituency, Bali Bhagat said that the work on construction of Degree College Building is in full swing and would be completed very soon. He said that near about 100 km road length in Raipur Domana has already been black-topped in the last three years and left out roads will be soon macadamized.  He also informed that the upgrading of Janipur- Gharota has been started and the work is in full progress. He asked the executing agencies to redouble their efforts to complete the blacktopping work at the earliest. He issued instructions to the engineers to adhere to the specifications, adding that any lapse will attract strict penalty against the concerned.
