Mr. Pierre Gattaz, President of MEDEF (Mouvement des Entreprises de France) called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. The Prime Minister fondly recalled his visit to France in April 2015 during which he interacted with a number of French business leaders, and appreciated the invaluable contribution of business leaders from both countries in strengthening the bilateral ties between India and France over the years.
Mr. Gattaz briefed the Prime Minister about growing trade and investment relations between India and France. The Prime Minister noted that France is one of India’s Top 10 sources of Foreign Direct Investment, and invited French companies to take advantage of the improving business climate and growing investment opportunities in India.
