The Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today laid foundation stone for the construction of Community Facilitation Center here at Smailpur Panchyat.The project being executed by Rural Development Department would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 21.75 Lakh under 13th FC. Speaking on the occasion, he said that CFC shall be developed as multi utility center which can be used for organising vocational training programmes and also be used by local population for other purposes. He informed that blacktopping of Smailpur to Patti road shall start next week under City and town plan at a cost of Rs 56 Lakh. Listing various projects started in the area, the Minister said the present government has unleashed a massive programme to take development to every corner of the state. He said special focus is being laid on hitherto neglected areas in terms of providing road connectivity, better power, healthcare and safe drinking water. The Minister was accompanied by Executive Engineer Bashir Ahmad Sheik, BDO Baribrahmana Danish Rasool, Tehsildar Baribrahmana Shallo Ram, SDPO Baribrahmana Usman Choudhary and AEEs of PDD, PWD and PHE.
