CGC Jhanjeri Placed among Swachh Institutes Rankings 2017

 CGC Jhanjeri participated in The Govt. of India, the ministry of Human Resource Development‘s competition for Swachhta Rankings 2017. Out of a total of about 40,000 colleges, 3500 Universities & institutes from all over India took part in this competition. Out of all these competitors, 174 institutes were shortlisted on recommendations by different committees of experts. Finally a lively function was organized in Ashok Hotel Delhi, in which Shri Prakash Javadekar Cabinet Minister of HRD, Govt. of India was the Chief Guest. Chairman AICTE, Chairman UGC and various other dignitaries were also present. For judging the cleanliness standards of an institute, a number of parameters were fixed.These included Student Toilet Ratio, Adequacy of toilets in hostels and academic block, Number of buildings and student strength, duration of running water, water purity, Modernity of Equipment in kitchen, apparel of kitchen & serving staff, adequacy of garbage collection and garbage disposal techniques, greenery coverage, overall cleanliness and ambience. All these points covered 85% of score while 15% marks were allotted for adoption of off campus area for hygiene & cleanliness. CGC Jhanjeri was awarded certificate to excel in this competition .Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that Jhanjeri campus is known for its lush lawns and cleanliness par excellence.
