In connection with redressal of public grievances, the District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir conducted an extensive tour of Model Village Kachihama. During the visit DDC interacted with various delegations, which projected their demands and matters relating to improvement of road connectives drinking water, power, irrigation and Health care in the area.The DDC while responding to the public grievances assured that all the basic facilities would be made available to people immediately without any delay and directed the concerned officers on spot for early redressal of the demands.The DDC Kupwara also visited the fire sufferers of Doban Kachihama area whom residential houses were recently damaged in fire incident and assured them that necessary steps for their rehabilitation will be taken immediately.
During the inspection of Meeliyal Kachihama road the DDC advised the concerned land owners cooperate with the concerned agency, so that widening and surfacing of said road shall be done in current financial year followed by black topping in the next.During the inspection of different institutions like Government High School, Health Sub Centre, Food Store, of the area the DDC Kupwara directed the concerned controlling officers to take necessary action against absent employees and ensure the presence of all employees in future.Later, DDC reviewed different developmental works in the area and directed the Chief Horticulture Officer and District Sheep Husbandry Officer for establishing density fruit gardens and viable sheep units of live stock in the area.Additional Director Handicrafts, Chief Medical Officer, Tehsildars, Engineers and other concerned officials accompanied the DDC.
