Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today laid foundation stone of Heliport at Dhalli bye pass near Shimla to be constructed at cost of Rs. seven crore. The Heliport will have a landing facility for two helicopters.Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the Heliport will prove to be a platform for promotion of high end tourism in the state. He said the government has extended road connectivity in the state alongwith proper maintenance of road network.He also laid foundation stone of Subzi Mandi at Tharmati kenchi in Fagu and also bye pass road to Cheog.He said the state government has vastly enlarged the network of subzi mandis in the state so that farmers could sell their produce near their homes.Inaugurating degree college Tungesh at Cheog, Chief Minister said that the state government was committed for providing quality education to youth in the state. He said large number of colleges have been opened in the state to provide higher education to students near their homes.He said that college at Tungesh has been taken under government control for providing better quality of education to students.He said the Kounti Pul in Satog panchayat will benefit the entire population of the nearby panchayats and create new economic activities in the area.Irrigation & Public Health Minister Smt. Vidya Stokes, local MLA Shri Anirudh Singh were also present on the occasion.
