Minister of State for Finance and Planning Ajay Nanda today said that sustained efforts are being made to provide improved basic facilities to the people and ensure equitable development of all areas.The Minister said this after laying foundation of works on lanes and drains in Ward No.3 and 6 of Katra town. The Minister was accompanied by ADC Babu Ram, SDM Neelam Khajuria, SDPO Ashok Sharma and other officers.The Minister said that thrust is being laid on upgrading basic infrastructure for augmentation of power and water supply besides making provisions of modern civic amenities.Minister said several such works have been initiated in Katra Sub-Division to provide better amenities to the people besides improving their socio-economic condition.The Minister also asked the ADC and SDM to ensure completion of all ongoing works in a time bound manner. He impressed upon for undertaking plantation drive and other community welfare measures by involving local people and target groups.Minister asked the people to actively partake in the development process of their respective areas and extend full cooperation to the executing agency for the successful execution of the ongoing projects.
