Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda, today inaugurated Cattle Shed completed with an expenditure of Rs. 30 Lakh near Fisheries Department office.The Minister also laid foundation stone for construction of lanes and drains in ward no 8 to be completed with an estimated cost of Rs.10 lakh under IDMT scheme.Deputy Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that government is committed to provide enhanced basic facilities to people of the state with emphasis on unattended and far off areas. In this regard, numerous development and welfare projects are being implemented in every nook and corner of the state which is yielding tangible results in improving socio-economic standards of people. Spelling out government’s initiatives being launched in Reasi constituency, the Minister said that the area has witnessed an era of significant development in past two to three years. He also elaborated on various social and development schemes being launched by the state as well as centre government for betterment of women, children and other weaker sections of the society and impressed upon the masses to avail optimum benefit from these vital development programmes.
