The three-day awareness campaign on the theme ‘Nave Bharat Ka Manthan- Sankalp Se Siddhi’ initiated by the Directorate of Field Publicity Unit Leh, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, concluded here today. Chairman Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali was the chief guest while as Chief Executive Councillor Kargil, Kacho Ahmad Ali was the guest of honour during the final awareness session held at Community Health Centre (CHC) Sankoo.The programme was aimed at spreading awareness among the common rural masses about New India Manthan ‘Share Ideas for a New India’. The concept is to bring together people from all age groups willing to engage in intellectually stimulating discussions on how India should be in 2022. The programme was also aimed to spread awareness on various centrally sponsored schemes like the Fasal Bima Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bema Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Startup India etc.
Speaking on the occasion, the LC Chairman while appreciating the efforts of the Directorate of Field Publicity in organizing the awareness programme said that such steps aware general masses to realize their responsibilities in nation building. He urged upon the ASHA, Anganwadi workers, students and the general public to work as ambassadors in spreading the information in there localities so that maximum number of people are benefitted by these schemes.Anayat Ali while underlining the need to organize such awareness programmes on regular basis said that there has to be a unit of Field Publicity in Kargil like other districts and added that he shall take up the issue with concerned quarters. CEC Kargil also spoke on the occasion and urged upon the ASHA and Anganwadi workers to work sincerely and dedicatedly in the propagation of information regarding government schemes at the grassroots.The programme started with the pledge by all the participants for New India Manthan. Resource persons from various departments gave expert lectures related to various schemes. Rural Development Department Kargil, ICDS Sankoo, Health Department Sankoo, and ASHRM Higher Secondary School, Sankoo participated in the programme. Panches, Ex-sarpanches, Asha Workers, ANMs, FMPHWs, Anganwadi workers, supervisors, helpers of ICDS, students, teachers, adolescent girls and boys and locals from all walks of life also participated in the programme.Earlier, during the three-day campaign, poetry, painting and archery competitions were organized on the theme of National Integration, in which students from ASHRM Higher Secondary School Sankoo, Noon Public High School, Sankoo and the local teams namely Friends Club Sankoo and Top Challengers Sankoo participated.
