Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari today directed the officials to expedite the work on various sports infrastructure projects.The Minister conducted a surprise visit to get the first hand appraisal of various ongoing sports work projects here in Srinagar. He reviewed the work on multipurpose Indoor Hall at Polo Ground and Cricket Ground at TRC. He directed the officials for speeding up the work and asked them to work in double shifts for their early completion.Secretary Sports Council, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra and other concerned officials accompanied the Minister.Ansari said that he is optimistic about such infrastructure projects which will provide platform to the budding sportspersons and benefit overall youth of our State. He reiterated the Government's commitment to provide all possible facilities for the young sports aspirants.Later, the Minister paid visit to the State Cricket Academy at Bakshi Stadium here. He was informed that project is nearing its completion and soon will be thrown open for the cricketers. The Minister commended the work and asked officers to conduct frequent visits so that work at the stadium completes in time.
