Deputy Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Nazir Ahmad Gurezi today convened a meeting with the officials of telecommunications services providers including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Airtel for providing better communication facilities to the people of Gurez.In the meeting, Nazir Gurezi asked the representatives of Airtel to install tower particularly at Gurez and Tilleri so that people residing in the area would be able to receive better network coverage.Deputy speaker said that the people of Gurez valley are facing problems regarding the communication connectivity and directed the officers of the company upgrade the existing infrastructure in Gurez valley. ‘People of Gurez are living in the difficult topography and there is need to provide them every basic amenity so that their genuine demands can be taken care of, Gurezi added.Deputy Speaker also directed the concerned officials to complete the fibre cable connectivity of the BSNL and Airtel done in the end of this year.The meeting was attended by General Manager BSNL Kashmir, Mohammad Saleem Beigh, Deputy General Manager BSNL Kashmir, Nazir Ahmad, other officers of BSNL, representatives and officials of Airtel.
