Div Com Jammu reviews progress of hydroelectric power projects in Kishtwar

Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari today reviewed the status of work on upcoming Hydroelectric power projects in Kishtwar district  including Pakal Dul, Kiru and Kwar. The meeting was attended by General Manager, Chenab Valley Power Projects P B Jain, GM, HOP (Kwar) Virender Raina and Chief Engineer HOP (Kiru) Virender Salman, while Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan, ADC, Kishori Lal and other senior officers participated   through video conferencing. The Divisional Commissioner directed the DC, Kishtwar to take immediate steps for removing the bottlenecks in the execution of projects including land acquisition, disbursement of compensation to land owners and construction of approach roads.The Deputy Commissioner informed that the list of cases for land compensation has been sent to Tehsildar for verification for verification and after that the process of disbursement would be started. He further said that work would be expedited to complete the projects within stipulated time frame.
