District Development Commissioner, Rajouri Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today convened a meeting on Sunday to review the progress on Aadhar enrolment and directed the officials to fast-track enrolment process and take steps to further improve service delivery for time-bound coverage of maximum area.District Statistic and Evaluation Officer, District Coordinators, Tehsildars of Koteranka, Khwas, Darhal, Thanamandi, Rajouri, Nowshera, Sunderbani, Siot, Kalakote, Tryath and Beripattan as well as Operators and incharge officials of all Aadhar enrolment centres in the district attended the meeting.It was decided that process of enrolment will be streamlined and for hassle-free enrolment, more manpower and machinery was approved for deployment. The DDC took a serious note of general complaint that some people are attempting to enrol for multiple Aadhars which is not technically feasible and such suppression of information is leading to delay in enrolment of genuine applicants. He told the Operators and Tehsil offices to furnish weekly list of such persons for action under rules as many prominent persons and officers have also applied for multiple Aadhars.

The DDC approved opening of seven more Aadhar enrolment centres at Plangar, Prori, Ghambir Brahmna, Siot, Qila Darhal, Moghla and Budhal. Apart from this, additional machines will be provided at existing centres. meanwhile Tehsil Rajouri, Manjakote and Koteranka have been taken up under special drive for complete coverage which will be followed by Kalakote, Sunderbani and Thanamandi. A target of 100 enrolment per machine per day was fixed for enrolment centres.The meeting decided that two officials will be deputed at each enrolment centre for scrutinising documents and providing "Serial Number Token" for better crown management and public convenience.Meanwhile additional infrastructure sanctioned for centres to be procured and provided a week's time include 10 GPS machines, 10 Printer-cum-Scanners, Inverters for centres at Koteranka, Peeri, Manjakote, Tryath, Qila Darhal, Khwas, Sunderbani, Kalakote and Nowshera.It was revealed that the district has achieved 87.33% Aadhar generation with respect to digitised population while it stands at 79.96% of total population. Accordingly measures have been initiated for universal enrolment. It was decided that based on monthly and weekly performance the Aadhar operators and officials will be awarded by district administration.
