Government District Hospital Handwara has been running in rough weather as doctors In the hospital are allegedly turning the health centre into a hub of medical agents and ‘touts who reportedly work for them and take the patients to private laboratories and other facilities only tonfleece them. Scores of patients told 5 Dariya News that many agents of the private labs and clinics roam freely in the OPD to influence doctors for referring the patients to their labs for various tests and medical examinations. They accused doctors of being hand in glove with these agents and said the poor patients are being fleeced. They have appealed Authorties and Police to take action against them.
