“Indian Independence was achieved with the martyrdom of countless freedom fighters who shed their lives for librating their motherland from the clutches of foreign rule. This independence would be protected at any cost and eternal memory of our great martyrs who sacrificed their life would also be preserved to help our younger generations know the importance of independence.” It was said by Mr. Brahm Mohindra, Health & Family Welfare Minister while paying rich tributes to the Shaheed Karnail Singh Isru, during the state level function held at village Isru.Mr. Brahm Mohindra said that the previous 10 years were the most dreaded nightmare for the whole of Punjab as during the rule of SAD-BJP combine, Punjab was pushed back to the level of economic slavery and the debt burden on every Punjabis increased manifold. He said that Congress government has initiated various progarmmes to bail out the debt ridden Punjabis from the debt trap. The Minister assured the people of Isru that the government dispensary would be rejuvenated within coming six months.

He said that Punjabis inherited the legacy of ‘Kurbani’ from our most revered Sikh Guru Sahibs and the teachings of our gurus inspired the Punjabis to play leading role in the Indian freedom struggle. He said that it is evident from the historical fact that most of the struggles started for the freedom of the country were led by the sons of the soil of Punjab.Addressing the gathering Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu, Minister for Local Governments said that the previous 10 years would be registered in the echelons of history as the ear of “ Economic Terrorism”. He said that SAD-BJP combine had let lose his leaders to loot the economic recourses of Punjab and government recklessly plundered the wealth of Punjab. He said that the Badal Family was enjoying the monopoly over most of the businesses and they amassed unaccounted wealth at the cost of the welfare of Punjabis. In his address Mr. Sunil Jakhar, President PPCC said that the Punjab Government is so sensitive and aware to fulfill its promises. He said that SAD-BJP combine is willfully misguiding the farmers on the issue of debt waiver. He said that soon the debt of farmers would be waived off. He accused the Union Government for running away from owing its responsibility on the issue of debt waiver.
