The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh Shri V.P. Singh Badnore inaugurated and dedicated to the nation the newly commissioned 175 kWp Solar Power Plant installed on the roof top of BBMB Secretariat, Sector-19, and SLDC Buildings Industrial Area, Chandigarh. He appreciated the commendable job done by the dedicated team of BBMB Engineers and employees, who have successfully installed and commissioned the Green Power Generation plant.This Solar Power Plant has been commissioned in a period of 5 months Minimum annual generation from this Solar Power Plant is around 2.27 lac units. The Project has been completed on 18th July, 2017 which is much before the target date of 13 October, 2017 set by the MNRE. Today, global warming is a major concern and is threatening the very existence of mankind. Renewable energy resources like solar power helps to slow down global warming.After installation of this Solar Plant, BBMB plans to replicate it at other stations, thereby contributing to Government of India’s aiming for the world’s largest renewal energy expansion programme with the target of 175 GW by 2022.Er.
