The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today categorically said that SAD-BJP government has never extended any political patronage to anybody to take law in his hands and has responded in a record time against anybody guilty of any wrong doing.Addressing media persons here after political conference organized on occasion of Shahidi Jor Mela, Mr. Badal gave a strong message that anybody irrespective of his political or personal connections would have to face music for any attempt to break law. He said that he has clearly gave instructions to Punjab Police to take prompt action in case of any incident and gave the examples of ASI murder and Ludhiana Restaurant brawl cases where the accused were put behind bars in no time. Replying a query, the Deputy Chief Minister the Congress was trying to reap in political mileage from such issues and was unnessarlity putting fingers at the SAD leaders. He said Captain Amarinder has no right to comment over these issues and in his own regime in the state, he was of the habit of issuing clean chits even before the preliminary inquires. The deputy chief minister cited the incidents related to Gurchet Singh Bhullar and police brutality with girl students in Ludhiana in which the Captain led Congress government did not bother to even conduct preliminary enquiries. He said that he had already directed the District Presidents of SAD and General Secretary to shunt out all those elements which could damage the party’s image. Answering another query, the Deputy Chief Minister said that former Congress Legislature Mr. Joginder Pal Jain has unconditionally joined Shiromani Akali Dal and there was no iota of truth in Amarinder’s allegation that he was forced to join SAD.
