Div Com Kashmir reviews progress of Aadhaar enrolment

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad today chaired a meeting here to review the progress of Aadhaar enrolment in the Kashmir Division.Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Deputy Director Planning, representatives from M/s Comtech & M/s Chinar companies and other concerned officers were present in the meeting while as all Deputy Commissioners of Kashmir Division including Leh & Kargil participated in the meeting through video conferencing.The meeting was informed that Aadhaar enrolment in district Srinagar is 79.17%, Ganderbal 82.74%, Baramulla 86.38%, Kupwara 85.19%, Bandipora 90.76%, Anantnag 78%, Pulwama 88%, Kulgam 95%, Shopian 96%, Budgam 94%, Leh 88.77% and Kargil 81.29% till August 10, 2017.The Div Com directed all Deputy Commissioners to enrol remaining people on first come first serve basis and don’t issue date slips to the people. 

They must also review the enrolment progress on daily basis in their respective districts and send the report to Div Com office on day-to-day basis.He directed the executing agencies - M/s Comtech & M/s Chinar - to install additional machines and operators in every district as per the requirement so that the Aadhaar enrolment process is completed immediately.The Divisional Commissioner also directed Additional Commissioner Kashmir to review the progress of Aadhaar enrolment process on weekly basis so that the enrolment will be completed within a stipulated time frame.Khan stressed the concerned to take the completion of Aadhaar enrolment of the remaining population of the Kashmir Division in a mission mode.
