Moga MLA Joginder Pal Jain Resigns From Congress-Joins Shiromani Akali Dal

Also Resigns From The Membership Of Legislative Party,First Sitting MLA In Punjab Resigning To Join Other Party

The dwindling ship of Punjab Pradesh Congress Party today received a rude shock as its MLA from Moga seat Mr. Joginder Pal Jain resigned from Congress Party and also from Vidhan Sabha and joined Shiromani Akali Dal in the presence of Party President and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal. In an unprecedented move, an MLA, that too in the beginning of his tenure has resigned from a party to join another party reflecting rising frustration of Congress MLAs from the dictatorial and insensitive leadership of Congress Party. Announcing his unconditional joining of Shiromani Akali Dal, Mr. Jain said that he was fed up  with the infighting of Congress Party and was hurt from the fact that during last five years, party never came to his aide when he was in trouble. He said that he was also frustrated as Congress leadership was encouraging dissidents against him and despite repeated complaints they never acted against those self styled leaders, who were sabotaging his working in Moga constituency. He said that he sincerely felt that future of Punjab was safe in the hands of Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, who were taking Punjab on the path of development with their visionary development agenda. Welcoming Mr. Jain in the Party fold, Mr. Badal said that he knew Mr. Jain from the days when he fought elections from Moga in his initial political days and Mr. Jain was quite helpful to him during his election. He also announced that Mr. Jain would be candidate of Shiromani Akali Dal for ensuing by-poll from Moga seat. Flanked by Mr. P.S. Gill, SAD Candidate, who fought against Mr. Jain, Mr. Badal said that Mr. Gill was like his family member and we are utilizing his services for special tasks as he was one of few members of inner core team. 

Prominent amongst those who joined the SAD fold included Mr. Gurdeep Singh Gill, Ex-Chairman, Mr. Nachattar Singh Koreana, Ex-Chairman, Mr. Akshit Jain, President Youth Congress Moga with his whole team, Mr. Davinder Singh Tiwari, Spokesman District Youth Congress, Mr. Rajinder Singh Takkar, President Artiya Association, Mr. Mahinder Singh Brar, Vice President, Punjab Nambardar Union, Mr. Harnek Singh Ramwala, Sarpanch, Vice President District Congress, Mr. Jaslovepreet Singh Sidhu, vice president, youth congress Lok Sabha, Mr. Gurbinder singh vice president, youth congress, Mr. Harmandeep Singh Tony, Mr. Jaideep Gandhi, Mr. Rajinder Jain, all general secretaries of Congress Party, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Nitara, Mr. Paramjit Garg, Mr. Rattan Garg, 19 Ex-MCs including Mr. Praveen Sharma, Mr. Ashok Kumar Dhamija, Mr. Narinder Pal Singh Sidhu, Mr. Hari Ram, Mr. Bharat Bhushan Garg, Mr. Amresh Kumar, Mr. Harbans Singh, Mr. Inderjit Singh Saharan, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Bajaj and hundreds of sarpanches and panches from Moga Constituency.
