The Deputy Commissioner today convened a meeting of Revenue Officers to check the progress and functioning of the department here today.
Deputy Commissioner while taking the review directed Tehsildars to make Numberdars and Chowkidars accountable so that crucial information from grass route level is passed to Tehsildar head quarters promptly.Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to keep a tab on conversion of agriculture land for non agricultural purposes in their respective Tehsils.He called for speedy disposal of public grievances and said that Revenue department needs to improve its public image as this department is tool for social change besides seat of governance.Deputy Commissioner also impressed upon the officers to activate Revenue Courts & ensure timely hearing twice a week. He said that this is instrumental in dispensation of justice and resolution of land disputes.He enjoined upon officers to issue all the certificates in a time bound manner under PSGA besides holding regular mutation camps in their jurisdictions. On the occasion the Deputy Commissioner directed the Tehsildars to go for regular pratalls, issuance of PRCs and different category certificates in a hassle free manner within the stipulated time frame.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildars & Naib Tehsildars of the District.
