Chief Justice, Jammu and Kashmir, Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed today inaugurated Legal Assistance Establishment (Qanooni Imdad Markaz) at State Legal Services Authority (SLSA) office at Old Secretariat Srinagar. He also launched SLSAs website (www.jkslsa.gov.in).Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir (Executive Chairman J&K SLSA), Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey (Chairman HCLSC), Justice Tashi Rabstan and Justice M K Hanjura were also present on the occasion.The Legal Assistance Establishment will be a multiple centralized information centre for providing information to Legal Aid seekers under one roof at a single location through e-mail, telephone and video conferencing. The Legal Assistance Establishment would be manned by a legal service advocate, staff of J&K SLSA and PLV’s and shall provide quick information to legal aid beneficiaries, services to people in the need of legal Assistance particularly marginalized groups, information about activities of SLSA and District legal services Authorities and legal aid, advice and information about various schemes of National Legal Service Authority. Yousuf Wani Registrar Judicial, Abdul Nasir Secretary HCLSC, Malik Shabir Ahmad CPC and Omesh Sharma Munsif associated with e-Courts were also present on the occasion.
