In a move to review the progress of construction of Government College for Engineering and Technology (GCET) at Safapora Ganderbal, District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Dr. Piyush Singla chaired a meeting of officers here today.During the meeting, matters pertaining to the construction of Government College for Engineering and Technology (GCET) were discussed.The DDC stressed for the on time completion of the GCET Ganderbal being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 26 crore out of which an amount of Rs 5.5 crore had already been spent. In the meeting, Tehsildar Lar was directed to see the feasibility and availability of additional land for the said Engineering College.DDC also directed the AEE Irrigation & Flood Control to prepare DPR for the said Engineering College in a way that in the case of any Natural Disaster the structures should stand still and safe.He impressed the officers to expedite the pace of progress on this development project so that the people could be benefited at the earliest and physical & financial targets set for current fiscal are achieved.ADDC Ganderbal, ADC Ganderbal, CPO Ganderbal, DGM JKPCC, Executive Engineer R&B, Tehsildar Lar, AEE PHE, and AEE Irrigation were present in the meeting.
