District Development Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar today chaired a meeting of Revenue and other concerned departments to review the progress of Aadhaar enrolment in the district.The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Bharat Bhushan, AD Statistics & Evaluation, Tehsildars, Incharge- Comtech Info Solutions Pvt ltd (Executing Agency) and other concerned officers and officials.The DDC directed the concerned to expedite process in all tehsils of the district to achieve hundred percent enrolment. He also impressed upon them to ensure timely delivery of Aadhaar Cards to the citizens. He directed the executing agency to ensure that the Biometric Capturing is done in a transparent and foolproof manner.The DDC also asked the officers to generate mass awareness about the enrollment drive so that people can avail benefits of various Government run schemes, for which Aadhaar card has been made compulsory. He also called upon tehsildars to maintain close liaison with executing agency so that enrolment drive is done without any disruption.
