A meeting of the Committee on Petition of Legislative Assembly was held here today under the Chairmanship of legislator Javed Mustafa Mir to discuss the pending petitions before the Committee.Legislators R S Pathania, Noor Mohammad Sheikh, Anjum Fazili and Mohammad Ashraf Mir attended the meeting and gave their views and suggestion regarding early disposal of the petitions.The Committee discussed the petition of Mohammad Sultan Reshi S/o Late Mohammad Reshi and Wali Mohammad Reshi sons of Samad Reshi of Taki Sangreshi, Hazratbal Srinagar regarding sale of their land.The Committee examined the reply submitted by the petitioners and officials of the Revenue Department. It was decided that the records presented before the Committee would be scrutinized and verified before taking any decision on it.Special Secretary, Revenue Department, Farooq Ahmed Shah briefed the Committee about the petition and action taken by the Revenue Department on the petition.Secretary Legislative Assembly, M R Singh, ADC Srinagar Purnima Mittal besides other senior officers of Revenue Department and Assembly Secretariat were also present on the occasion.
