Students protest against ‘out of syllabus’ question paper

Scores of college students Saturday staged a protest here in Press Enclave Srinagar alleging that the question paper set for them by Kashmir University was totally out of syllabus.The Ist year (2nd Semester) medical students who appeared in examination under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for Zoology paper said 36 multiple questions out of 40 were out of syllabus. They added that two descriptive questions were also out of syllabus.We protested in the examination room while the authorities there assured us that matter issue will be raised with the Kashmir University, but we are not sure whether they will take it up or not and so we arrived here to attract the attention of the Kashmir University authorities. We humbly request Kashmir University to look into the matter,” the protesting students told CNS.An official from Kashmir University said that they will look into the matter. (CNS)
