Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta kick started black topping works in Dashmesh Nagar here today.The Speaker said that roads are the vital means of connectivity and upgradation of roads open new opportunities of growth and development in the area. He directed the concerned officers to ensure time bound completion of ongoing road works and asked them to put in place an ample mechanism for development of roads in these areas. He also directed concerned officers for restoration of damaged roads in the area at the earliest.The Speaker said that various developmental initiatives have been taken up by the government to improve all basic facilities in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
The Speaker also took stock of various development works being executed in the area. He asked the concerned officers to maintain the quality of work and optimally utilize all the available resources for enhanced development in the area.Later, the Speaker held a public meeting in the area and took stock of various issues raised by the local residents. He assured the locals that all the grievances put forth by them will be redressed and directed the concerned officers to take all the necessary measures in this regard.Functionaries of concerned departments were present on the occasion.
