Students who won top positions in State Level of Space Olympiad 2016 called on Governor Acharya Devvrat at Rajbhawan, Shimla, today. This competition was organized by Educare India, providing a platform that opens the door of limitless knowledge about the space explorations for the students from class 5th to class 12th.While congratulating the topper s from Himachal in Space Olympiad, the Governor said that such competitions provides a world class experience to young aspirants' by taking them on a truly exquisite educational and entertaining voyage around the world without boundaries and making them aware about India stands in the field of space science besides they know deeply about the universe. It gave International exposure to the young learners from the State, he added.
Avishrant Sharma from DAV Ambota, Srijan Paliyal from Guru Nanak Mission School, Poanta Sahib and Ameet Badhai from DAV Chamba who won top positions in Space Olympiad visited London on science study programme from 2nd July to 9th July. More than 20 thousand students from Himachal Pradesh participated in the preliminary level and 30 selected district toppers visited National Science Centre, New Delhi, which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture of the Government of India on 3rd April 2017 to attend the Graduation Ceremony.Shri Vikas Mariya Sood, Representative of Educare said that winners received awards, certificates and medals at level-1 and educational trips at National and International institutions of global repute in the field of Space, Science and Technology. He told that state toppers in previous years had visited NASA, Kennedy Space Centre, Florida, USA, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Bengaluru and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. Bengaluru.
