As everyone is very well awear of the 2016 Kashmir Unrest.Rest of the world also witnessed those hardships and worse time in the era of Kashmir Valley till date. While in that unrest a newly introduced Pellet guns were used to get control over daily increasing swelling crowd in the valley during that unrest. The use of pellet guns left more than 17000 wounded and Blinded more than 800 persons in the Kashmir Valley.All those who received injury in their eyes have somehow lost the whole life. Use of pellet guns leaving below 18 years wounded, blinded and the irony is Girls were also injured with use of pellet guns.Now we have more than 17000 Pellet victims in the valley some have lost eye sight and some are hit somewhere in their body, All are being specially treated but yet the recovery results are not in fourth. Insha A student hailing from South Kashmirs Shopian area is an example of pellet gun victim who was hit in her eyes and left her blinded forever and till date she hasn't recovered and has fully lost all the hopes and all the dreams.
But insha a well know personality from Kashmir and a well know separatist Shabir Ahmad Shah took her as his daughter and made her a member of their family.And her wife a well know doctor are treating her by their own and recently according to the reports they took her to delhi for some special treatment, So that she will recover and came back over all that what she missed till date. But the chances are less of recovering. After the long unrest of more than 5 Months in 2016 left everyone dizzy and surprised.The Jammu and Kashmir government is contemplating to set up a blind school for the pellet victims. By doing so it wants to help the victims who lost their eyes during the 2016 unrest. The pellets fired by the government forces to “maintain law and order” ruptured the eyes of more than 1000 youth across Kashmir. A few of them have lost the vision in both the eyes while a few of them are partially blind.
According to the media reports the school for blind would have all the modern facilities and the primary focus would be on capacity building of the youth blinded by the pellets to ensure that they “live a happy life…”It’s strange that after snatching the eyesight of the youth, JK government wants the blinded youth to “live a happy life” which is filled with darkness and nothing else. The 1000 pellet victims, who lost their eyesight during the 2016 unrest were not born blind. They have been turned blind due to the prevailing conflict in Kashmir.Nothing much has been done to help these blinded youth. Neither the government nor the people have come forward to help these victims wholeheartedly. Unfortunately only politics has been played over them losing their eyesight and vision. These victims have been left to fend for themselves. Just a few cosmetic exercises have been carried at the pretext of helping these victims, who have undergone multiple surgeries but these expensive medical procedures have not yielded desired results .
Post those five months Fridays and separatists call and the killings of any Rebel results in the intense clashes in the whole valley. At that times pellet guns are used and adding some more to the number of already injured in the past long unrest. New trend has began in kashmir that people are gathering in uncountable numbers at the furenal prayers of Any Militants (Rebel).But irony here is that when a poor guy gets het by pellet gun and the recovery needs loads of money and care. But till date there is no such case that any separatist has come up for the support of any Pellet victim. But the government is still using the pellet gun ruthlessly and adding the numbers daily. What really matters is a precious life of a human being. But a complex case exsists here in kashmir, Life hardly pays a value and even no one is coming forward to show some help to the needy who really is in immense need of assistance at present. Best way to get away from all this is Government should either stop using pellet guns or find an alternative . People are losing the hope and their new day and their Sun of life.It's a serious matter of concern.Feeling the pain only doesn't work, At one really feels so he/she must come up for the assistance and to add some joyful moments in their life.
