Talent Hunt art and painting competition held at Zewan

JKAP 9th BN in collaboration with the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Serving Nation, organized a talent hunt art and painting competition at armed police complex Zewan on Wedensday. The event was attended by more than 50 participants, who belonged to various government and private schools. The competition was aimed to bring out the art skills of participants and provide their talent a platform to showcase it in the public.The commandant of JKP 9th battalion, Shalinder Singh welcomed the students and other participants who participated in the event. He stressed upon them to be focused and consistent in life for developing progressive society in the future.DIG AP/IR Kashmir Raiq-ul-Hassan, who was the chief guest at the occasion, distributed awards among the participants. While appreciating the efforts of chairman of the NGO Mustafa nazair and the SSP 9th Bn, the chief guest told the participants that they should work towards illuminating the society so as the negativity is stemmed out.

The DYsP Zahid lone (quarter master), JKAP 9th BN, conducted the proceedings of the event and presented vote of thanks to the chief guest and other participants including Deputy Commandent Hamidullah sheikh (SP) of 9th Bn and commandant 12th Bn Baqar Samoon.The first prize in the competition was bagged by Imroze Inam, eighth class student of DPS Budgam and Ayesha Manzoor, Class 6th student of IMI bemina. Bisma yaqoob and  Sakina Farooq class tenth student of high school zewan got second position while shujaat Shafi, a class 6th student and Mahliqa Jan a 9th grade student of IPTS High school Khan sahib bagged third position.The students were also shown documentary film, Pehla qadam, to inculcate traffic awareness among them.
