A shocking video in which a masked women had accused junior level employees and security staff in Government Psychiatric hospital at Kath Darwaza of ‘inflicting miseries’ upon patients had sent the administration into tizzy. The video which has been making rounds on all social networking sites including facebook and WhatsApp these days has bewildered one and all as the women who has covered her face with her scarf has alleged that mentally unsound patients are ruthlessly beaten by these employees on routine basis.“My brothers and sisters kindly take note of miseries being inflicted upon mentally unsound patients at psychiatric hospital; they are being treated as dumb driven cattle’s by security staff and junior employees. Kindly do something,” women who could be seen crying in the video have alleged. The masked women whose identity is yet unknown went on to say that the patients are ruthlessly beaten by the employees while as the administration has maintained criminal silence over this monstrous act.“I bear witness to this fact, I fell ill after seeing patients being ruthlessly beaten by employees and policemen guarding the sanatorium, when I visited the hospital this morning I was crestfallen to see patients being beaten, this matter should be looked into and try to know as to why junior employees are maltreating patients,” she has added.

She alleged that the patients are not being properly treated at mental hospital while as their families unaware of the fact might be thinking that their dear ones are given special treatment.“These patients are unaware of the world don’t know what is happening around, my appeal to collective conscience is to wake up to the issue to save patients being given horrible treatment,” she said. When contacted HoD, Dr Mohammad Maqbool by 5 Dariya news team said that no such incident has ever taken place in the sanatorium so far, however he was quick to add that if the women have any proof to prove her allegations she will be welcomed.“Though nothing such has happened here ever before but we still welcome the women who have voluntarily exposed this fact. If her claims proved out to be true serious actions will be taken against the any of the person involved in this gruesome act,” Dr Maqbool said.He said that if the women cannot come to the hospital, she can approach higher-ups or even police so that the facts come to fore.
