A train crushed a boy and a cow to death in North Kashmir’s Pattan town on Saturday afternoon.A Railway official told CNS that a train coming from Srinagar to Baramulla crushed a 14 year boy and a cow to death near Zangam bridge in Pattan town of Baramulla district.“Both the cow and the boy were on railway track when the speedy train passed through the area,” he said and identified the deceased as Taqmeel Majid Gaanie, a resident of Burn Pattan.The locals express their resentment and alleged that Railway Protection Force personnel never remain present on the railway track. Tehsildar Pattan, Sayed Faheem who rushed to the spot of incident assured that action will be initiated against the erring RPF personnel.Pertinently, a month back a lady from the same village died on the same spot when she was also crushed to death by a train.Meanwhile, another boy was killed when a cloudburst struck a village in south Kashmir's Kulgam district, said a police official.   Shabir Ahmad Garsee (17), a resident of Sarbadree Homepathri village of Kulgam, was killed when a cloudburst struck the area last night, a police official said.In Damhal Hanjipora village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, a received severe burn injuries after an HT line of 11,000 volt fall beside him. He was rushed to hospital where his condition is stated to be critical. Additional Deputy Commissioner Parvez Ahmed Raina assured action against the erring PDD officials. (CNS)
