Minister of State for Forest, Environment, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Cooperative and Fisheries, Mir Zahoor Ahmad, today held a meeting with the officers of Animal and Sheep Husbandry (A&SH) Departments to discuss the issues related to Non-Gazetted Recruitment Rules of these departments.The Minister directed the officers of the concerned Departments to examine the recruitment rules and norms prescribed for filling up of vacant posts of Class-IV in these Departments and amend fresh service rules in this regard and forward the same to the concerned quarter for accord of issuance of necessary notification.Detailed discussions were also held for giving weight age points for trained authorized Private Para vets for selection of Class IV vacancies in A&SH Departments.Addressing the meeting, the Minister asked the officials to redouble their efforts and ensure proper training in modern practices for livestock rearing to the farmers. He said livestock is the backbone of the people of rural areas and the sector has the potential to give a flip to the rural economy.Commissioner Secretary, Animal Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, R K Bhagat, Head of the Departments of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments besides other concerned Officers were present in the meeting.
