All Jammu and Kashmir Polytechnic Academic Arrangement Association (PAAA) of Technical Education department Tuesday protested against the government at Srinagar’s press Enclave. The protesters carrying the banners and placards reading slogans and demands were chanting slogans like ‘we want justice’.Talking to KNS, Shahnawaz Qadir, President of the association, said the government has failed to frame out policy for regularisation. He said that they also sat on hunger strike in the past for 15 days following which the senior PDP leader; Nazir Ahmad Gurezi visited the temporary pegged tent and said that the concerned Minister will come up with the roadmap within 15 days.“A year has passed, since the assurances were given to us, the government has miserably failed to look into the matter thereby leaving thousands of us to suffer,” he said.He also said that the Kashmir division employees and Jammu division employees were yesterday called at Directorate office. “We had to wait at least four hours in the corridor during which the officials there showed deplorable behaviour,” he said. They later appealed Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to look into the matter and fulfil their demands as soon as possible.Meanwhile, they later dispersed peacefully.
