Indian Minister pays tribute to slain soldier killed in counter infiltration operation in Kashmir. Indian Minister of State for Defense Dr Subhash Bhamre Friday joined the Army at Badami Bagh Cantonment here in Kashmir capital Srinagar to pray tributes to a soldier Rifleman Tara Bahadur Roka who died on Thursday in Nowgam Sector of Kashmir during a counter infiltration operation in which three alleged armed intruders were also killed.A Defense spokesperson said that Lieutenant General J.S Sandhu, Chinar Corps Commander and all ranks paid homage to the slain soldier in a solemn ceremony which was also attended by officials from the other security agencies including Jammu Kashmir Police Chief. Minister of State for Defence while laying wreath on the coffin of the deceased soldier expressed his condolences to the bereaved family who is survived by his parents.The 23 year old slain soldier hails from Dang, Nepal.The mortal remains of the soldier will be taken to Subathu in Himachal Pradesh for last rites with full military honours.
