The Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh today said that ancient and historical places would be undertaken under the ambit of heritage tourism so that these are properly renovated, restored and promoted as well.The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with a deputation of ISKCON here today. Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Mr Baseer Ahmad Khan, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone and other senior officers were present in the meeting.While interacting with the representatives of the ISKCON, the Deputy Chief Minister assured them that all their genuine demands and grievances would be resolved in a time bound manner.While directing the officers to ensure proper provisions of security and other related things, the Deputy Chief Minister said the Government is committed to provide security to the religious places in order to thwart the nefarious designs of the elements trying to disturb the peaceful environs.Dr Singh also directed the Divisional Commissioner to ensure that the revenue related issues of the organization are settled as early as possible.  He said that officers should ensure that all their revenue related issues are properly addressed.The Deputy Chief Minister also directed the Divisional Commissioner to take up the matter of developing the ancient temple at Zaindar Mohalla under heritage tourism with the Director Tourism so that the proper renovation and restoration of the complex can be undertaken for the convenience of the devotees coming to pay obeisance there.The Deputy Chief Minister also convened   a meeting to discuss the issues related to the DAV educational society.Dr Singh directed the officers to ensure that all the issues related to this prestigious educational institute are sorted out properly.  He said that they should also consult the board members of the society before undertaking any initiative or process related to it.
