Divisional Commissioner, Dr. Mandeep K Bhandari today flagged off Kheer Bhawani Yatra-2017 for Kashmir valley to take part in the annual 'Kheer Bhawani Mela' in the Tulmula area of Ganderbal district.A fleet of 17 buses of State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) carrying 358 pilgrims including 237 males and 121 females left from Nagrota for the festival.Speaking on the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner greeted the yatris and wished that the festival ushers an era of peace and prosperity in the state.An annual Mela is held at Kheer Bhawani in which Kashmiri Pandits and  large number of people from different faiths participate.Relief Commissioner, Y. P. Suman, Deputy Commissioner, Relief, Dr. Shubra Sharma, Assistant Commissioner, Ashima Sher, Sudhershan Kumar    and zonal officer were present on the occasion.
