Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today said the posts of Headmasters, ZEOs, CEOs and other vacancies in the Education Department will be got filled at the earliest through recruiting agencies.He made this statement during the meeting with a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum headed by Showkat Ahmad Bhat. During the meeting, the teachers presented their grievances and issues before the Minister.The teachers demanded removal of disparity in senior teachers grades between two provinces of the state. They demanded the removal of pay anomaly of masters, confirmation of masters, headmasters, lecturers and other officials. They also requested the Minister to initiate action against officials of Education Department involved in malpractices.The Minister listened to the grievances patiently and assured the teachers that all their genuine issues will be resolved at the earliest.While commenting on the transfer policy, the Minister said: “Rather than transfer policy, I will go by what is required for the welfare of students and the betterment of the education system in the state.”He said the Education Department is for the students and their welfare, "And I will go to any extent to make the system better," he said.
