State Vigilance Bureau, during its ongoing campaign against corruption today nabbed a Pharmacist posted at Civil Hospital Ludhiana red handed while accepting bribe.Disclosing this here today a spokesman of Vigilance Bureau Punjab said Som Chand Goyal, posted at Civil hospital, Ludhiana was caught red handed by a vigilance team led by Mr. Rajinder Kumar and Ms. Nirdosh Kaur Inspectors while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 7000 from Bhinder Singh, a complainant of village Ferozepur, District Ludhiana for getting amendment in the birth certificate of his grandson.Giving details he said the complainant approached the VB and alleged that the above named accused was demanding bribe of Rs. 7000 from him. After verifying the facts of his complaint, the VB team laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed and tainted money was recovered from him in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act at Police Station/EOW Ludhiana has been registered against him and further investigation was under progress.
