The Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister, Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi today reiterated that the novel strategies would be formulated with assistance of reputed skill development organizations at national and international level aimed at honing the skills of youth and making them worthy of employment.Disclosing this here today on the occasion of reviewing presentations concerning skill education, the minister said that it is important to expand the teaching methodologies and curriculum so as to prepare the youth of the state in tune with the changing scenario. He said that the current set up of the technical education institutions would be reformed and evaluations would be carried out in the currently running courses and syllabi.

On the occasion, the Additional Chief Secretary, Home department, Punjab Mr. Narinderjit Singh Kalsi, and representatives from Footwear Design and Development Institute (Commerce & Industries Ministry, Government of India) and National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Electronics and Information Technology Ministry, Government of India also made their presentations which focused on preparing the youth for jobs in futuristic techno savvy age and thus be able to contribute to the all round development of the country. On the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary , Technical Education and Industrial Training department Mr. M.P. Singh, Secretary Technical Education and Industrial Training Mr. Kahan Singh Pannu, Director Technical Education and Industrial Training Mr. Parveen Kumar Thind, Additional Directors Mr. Mohanbir Singh, Mrs. Daljit Kaur and Mr. H.P. Singh besides all the Deputy Directors were also present.
