Q.1 Bollywood Industry knows you as "Jagdish" Balika Vadhu" , how you got the role and how many episodes you had done in it ?
Ans - First of all I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the audiences for loving “Chinnari Pelli Kuturu” in southern India so much. I was doing a show called Rajkumar Aryan during which the same production house started casting for Balika Vadhu or rather “Chinnari Pelli Kuturu” I must say :) They called me for auditions of the show after which I bagged the role of Jagdish in "Chinnari Pelli Kuturu" I did the show for around 2 years which was almost 600-700 episodes and it has created history by registering its name in the Guinness book of world record to be the longest running television show ever.
Q.2 You had worked with Avika Gor who has done three films in Telugu due to the " Anandi " fame of Ballika Vadhu. Do you feel that Tv serial gives a recognition for Big Screen....
Ans - Certainly ! The television today as we know it has surpassed the films in terms of reach and the eyeballs it commands. I have seen one of Avika’s Telugu films and I appreciated how she actually spoke Telugu language instead of someone dubbing it for her. South Film Industry in general is so special and talented, the technicians, creatives, directors, writers they are all inspiring and giving a really tough competition to Hindi Cinema.
Q.3 Coming to your professional life , how you came in Glamour Industry ? Do you have film background?
Ans - From my childhood I dreamt to be world-famous and at the age of 9 I ventured into the Film Industry. My Granduncle was a producer in Bengali Film Industry and produced many films in which 3 were with Shri. Uttam Kumar ji and my dad Shri. Devashish Mukherjee have also maintained a passive involvement with the film industry.
Q.4 After " Ballika Vadhu " , you had taken a gap , and also done some serials also. How is this innings..?
Ans - After Balika Vadhu I concentrated on my 10th, then I did a show called Sanskaar then left it for my 12th and then my recent show which was with Ekta Kapoor called Inta Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar. In 2016 had a big concert in Vietnam in two cities Hanoi and Ho Chin Minh with 7000 and 5000 people in the arena respectively. Right now I’m reading a lot of scripts and focussing on building my craft and my physique and preparing myself for the next big thing and simultaneously also trying to explore different avenues of life.
Q.5 . During Interaction with you , It seems you are interested in South Indian Movies. What type of roles you wanted to do?
Answer - Yes of course! As I said I am very selective with what I choose and I’ll be delighted to do South Indian Films as I find your style of storytelling so propelling that as an actor I crave to be part of such conviction filled heroic stories. Honestly, doing any kind of film in South Film Industry will be an experience in itself as I know every film made is filled with such devotion and love that it has to be a good film. As i give this interview Bahubali 2 have just released and the amount of love it is receiving is quite evident by the Rs.100 crores it has collected on its first day ! Bahubali 1 and 2 are classic films and I congratulate Mr. S.S. Rajamouli for his vision. I would love to do a film with such heroism, I would love to do a film like Bahubali. South Indian films also make touching love stories, I’d also love to be a part of an action/romantic South Indian film.
