Young designer of Kashmir Shahid Rashid Bhat along with SSMD School of Design and Management finally made it to India's most prestigious international fashion show, Asian Designer Week, to display Kashmiri outfits on the ramp worn by international models in New Delhi.Eight Kashmiri outfits were showcased with Kashmiri Tilla work. The show began on May 5.Shahid Rashid also a visiting faculty of SSMD showcased the recent Pheran on international model which he has recently designed. Shahid Rashid's latest dress pink baby doll dress was also showcased by Ireland model which grabbed the great attention.Shahid Bhat and SSMD students visited different workshops in the industry. Also they got a chance to walk on ramp as show stoppers.The show was thrilled up as there were worldwide famous designers from Kashmir to Kazakistan, Italy, Germany etc.Speaking on the occasion, Director, SSMD School of Fashion and Design, Insha Qazi said SSMD aims to provide a creative platform to students and designers.She said that encouraging participants in such events act as a catalyst in order to empower youth so that they generate self-employment opportunities.
