The In Service training workshop of Group ‘A’ officers of Punjab Government pertaining to various departments concluded here today at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA).Disclosing this, an official spokesman said that during the course of this 5 day workshop, the officers were trained in office procedures, management, service matter and financial affairs by the experts through lectures and power point presentations. The main motive of the workshop was to bring the officer cadre of the Punjab Government in tune with the changing dynamics of administration in today’s era so as to make sure that the people receive exceptional and hassle free administrative and governance related services besides increasing the efficiency of the officers.During the workshop conducted under the supervision of course co-ordinator Mrs. Aarti Sehgal and Mr Kamal Kaushal various experts Mr. Banke Bihari, Mr. B.S. Matharu, Mr. R.S. Mittal, Mrs. Dharam Devi, Mr. Nirmal Singh, Mr. Sohan Chandel, Mr. B.R. Gambhir and Mr. Madan acted as resource persons and provided valuable guidance regarding Right To Service Act, Litigation, Legal Affairs, New Pension Scheme, Benefits accruing after retirement, Pay Fixation, Civil Services Rules, Employee Conduct Rules, Punjab Civil Service (Punishment & Appeal) Rules, Art of making notes and drafting, Role of DDOs and accountability, Government Machinery, GPF, GIS, Budget preparation, TA, DA, LTC, and Income Tax Returns. The experts also patiently answered the queries and removed the doubts of the officers. All the officers gave their feedback and were honoured with the certificates.
