DC Poonch listens to people’s problem in forward areas, inspects dev works

District development commissioner Poonch Mohammad Harun along with a team of officers visited forward areas along LOC   in Balakote tehsil and listened to people’s problems.The DDC visited LoC villages Dharati, Bosani, Ramlutta, Susuta, Behroti which are located across the fence.During day long tour, the DDC also inspected various ongoing development works including   road construction and Rural Development department works. The locals apprised DDC regarding problems being faced by them and urged for early resolution of the same.Defense personnel posted in B.G area of Balakote also accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during his visit to these forward LOC villages.Latter a public grievances camp was held at Dharati where people raised various developmental issues and demanded upgradation of high school Dhrati and improvement in medicare facilities at PHC Dharati.Responding to main demands, the DDC directed the block medical officer Mendhar to station at least two ambulances equipped with all necessary medicine and other necessary staff in the area especially during cross border shelling.The department of animal and Husbandry  was asked to depute a team of doctors along with necessary medicines to hold   camps  and provide medicare to livestock from time to time and  also treat   cattle injured in the firing.“To lessen the miseries of old age people, patients, and students, route permits will be given to unemployed youth for specific villages located across the fence” the DC assured in response to the demand for transport service raised by the locals.The people were also apprised about the government schemes and asked to avail benefits of the same.
