Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today announced that 52 towns of Punjab would witness complete transformation having all basic amenities in coming two years as Punjab has set aside Rs. 3800 crore for providing potable water, sewerage, sewerage treatment plants, concrete roads and street lights.Laying foundation stone of Rs. 80 crore for complete sewerage network in Sangrur city besides 15 MLD sewerage treatment plant, Mr. Badal accompanied by Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Member Parliament and Mr. Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Finance Minister, Punjab addressing mammoth gathering at grain market said people must differentiate between 60 years rule of Congress Party and 7 year regime of SAD-BJP in the state for initiating all round development and they should come forward to cast their votes for development. He said SAD-BJP alliance has a sole agenda of development and would contest the Lok Sabha polls on the plank of development.Accusing Punjab Congress leadership including Mr. Vijayiinder Singla, Member Parliament for misleading the people by producing wrong facts, Mr. Badal said the congress was trying to woo the voters with false propaganda regarding state's fiscal health and development front but the people know the reality.
He added that the well-informed electorates would wipe out this anti-people party from the political scene in coming elections, which would be the right answer of false propaganda of Congress leaders. He said that in coming two years all the development works would become operational. Giving details of welfare schemes initiated by Punjab Government, Mr. Badal said that they were going to expand the ambit of RAHAT scheme in entire Punjab to facilitate lakhs of traders and retailers by eliminating Inspector Raj.Answering media queries Mr. Badal said the time has come to form NDA government at Center in the interests of country and its people. He said only Mr. Narendra Modi could lead the country as all the congress leadership was completely blank as compare to the political and administrative experience and vision of Mr. Modi. On the question of PPP, Mr. Badal said earlier Manpreet Badal had played in to the hands of Congress and now working as 'B' team of Congress party.
He said Congress along with its all teams would have to face massive defeat in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.Extending thanks to Mr. Badal for initiating sewerage project at Sangrur and Barnala districts, Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said Punjab government was committed for the welfare of all sections of society. He said that within two years Sangrur, would be developed as modern city. Earlier Mr. Badal also laid the foundation stone of Sewerage Treatment Plant and Government Degree College at Barnala at a cost of Rs. 118.84 crore gave a call to the people of Punjab to rout-out Congress in Lok Sabha polls. He said farmers, industrialists and common masses have been suffering in the hands of Congress since independence and time has come to teach a lesson to congress so electorates should cast their votes in favour of NDA. Parkash Chand Garg, Chief Parliamentary Secretary also spoke on the occasion while amongst other present on the occasion included MD Administration Powercom Mr. Gurbachan Singh Bachi, Mr. Sukhwant Singh Sarao, constituency incharge, Mr. Ram Pal Singh member SGPC. Mr. Balbir Singh Ghunas, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Gobind Singh Longowal, , Mr. Gobind Singh Kanjhla, both former ministers, Mr. Kulwant Singh Kitu and Tek Singh Dhanola both SAD leaders were also present at Barnala.
